Assignment:  final THE LEGEND OF CHENGE

Time to Construct: 7 hrs

Time to Animate: 3 weeks about 45 hrs and more each week

Problems: i couldnt get the shots still they kept on being shaky, shadows in the lights, remembering the clean up glass each shot.

 Ah Ha Moment: When I was able to get all the shots done for my final

 If i animated this again: I would buy the remote so that the shots wouldnt be shaky, i would do a better job at getting rid of shadows, i would remember to clean the glass in each shot, lower the music so that the voice over could be heard, better voice over, add more shots so certain parts wouldnt look just still, add more depth in my scenes, give different shots other then just one view.

So, whatever this guy thinks pops out of his head. The story is about one day he goes into this coffee shop for bubble tea. There is already a line in the coffee shop, and the first woman in line is extremely demanding. She tries to argue with the girl who works in the shop. This guy gets impatient, and two lips pop out on his head, mimicking the woman. As the line moves forward, he stares at the butt of the lady in front of him. A butt in pink panty pops out on his head. Unfortunately, the lady sees it and slaps him in the face before she leaves. The girl at the counter stares at him like he’s a pervert. He feels so embarrased, but the butthead still stays on his head. Meanwhile, he hears a sound and turns his head around. The woman who was first in line is now drinking bubble tea. He looks at her and comes out an idea. He figures out what he should do to get rid of the butt head. So he concentrates on staring at the bubbles going up in the straw. And then his head turns into the shape of a bubble.

Since Vimeo and Youtube change the frame rate of animation, we will be viewing only hard copies of the finals (DO NOT PRESENT YOUR FINAL OFF OF THE INTERNET!!!). To save time and keep things running smoothly make sure you have your film uploaded to the class computer’s hard drive before class begins if you are in the first wave of presenters. The second wave of presenters can upload either before class or during break.

5-15 minute break depending on how we are doing on time

1:30 – 1:40 – Alicia
1:40 – 1:50 – Sung Ho
1:50 – 2:00 – Denise
2:00 – 2:10 – Ira
2:10 – 2:20 – Rita
2:20 – 2:30 – Jennie, Jess, Namrata, Takako

Don’t forget to bring a burned cd or dvd of your final with whatever scenes you cut, images of props, storyboards, etc.

Material: Acrylic paint on plexiglass with vegetable oil

How long: 4 weeks and more than 10 hours each week
